Working From Home Tip: Minimize Distractions

January 30, 20231 min read

Working from home can be very beneficial in helping you take control of your work environment. As a remote worker, you’ll still have to set realistic expectations and handle distractions that come up throughout your workday.

From notifications to games and social apps, your phone can pull you away from your work instantly. Set it to only receive calls and texts from important contacts, like your boss or your kids. Turn it screen-side down and just out of arm's reach.

Also, closing excess windows on your computer that aren’t directly connected to the work at hand can also help keep you focused. Don't keep your email or social media sites open in a tab while your on work hours.

By proactively anticipating distractions you may encounter working from home, you’ll be setting yourself up for success every day!
